He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Carmichael and Josephine Carmichael. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Carmichael; his sons, Brian R. Carmichael (Sarah), Robert B. Carmichael and Matthew W. Poss (Jeni); his grandchildren, Jackson Carmichael, Bentley Carmichael, Ethan and Liliana Poss; and his sister Lynn Carmichael (Chuck). He is also survived by numerous brother and sister in-laws, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peoples Chapel Funeral Home (195 Brooklane Dr, Bessemer, AL 35023). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
