She was predeceased by: her husband James Earl Sims; and her siblings, Wilma Gilliland, Samuel Thrash, James Thrash, Franklin Thrash, Bill Thrash, Wayne Thrash and Raymond Thrash.
She is survived by: her children, Lawanda Smith (James), Jamie Renstrom (Craig Alan), Cindy Coleman (Curtis) and Terry Thrash (Diana). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
