She was predeceased by: her husband James Charles Mims; her parents, A. N. Armstrong and Ressie Armstrong; her brother G. W. Armstrong; and her granddaughter Robin Leigh Mims.
She is survived by: her children, Jamie Mims (Cindy) of Lounce, TN, Jackie Mims (Tammy) of Alpine, David Mims (Donna) of Childersburg, Stephen Mims (Sonia) of Sylacauga, Laura Sims (Steve) of Bon Air and Cathy Peoples (Gerry) of Childersburg; and her siblings, Linda Holmes (Sam) of California, Lonzo Armstrong (Pat) of Sylacauga and Raymond Armstrong (Shirley) of Sylacauga. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
