He was predeceased by: his wife Gladys Jones Peters; his sons, Larry Gene Peters and Gary Dean Peters; his grandson Richard Shannon Nicholson; his parents, Henrietta Veazey Peters and John Vesper Peters; and his siblings, Peggy Blasingame and Homer Peters.
He is survived by: his children, Ron Peters (Liba), Patty Nicholson and Sharon Blythe Lovelady (Butch); and his brothers, Doc Peters and Jack Peters. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
