He was predeceased by: his wife Opehelia Maxine Holmes; and his parents, Artemus Holmes and Lilly Bell Holmes. He is survived by: his sons, Danny Holmes (Cheryl) of Sylacauga and Scotty Holmes (Robin) of Childersburg; his grandchildren, Kevin Holmes (Amy Garrett) of Michigan, Keri Yother (John Frank) of Birmingham and Logan Holmes of Birmingham; and his great grandchildren, Anna Clair Yother, Elie Yother and Daniel Yother.
