He was predeceased by: his father Jerry Vernon Applegate; his uncle Nash Bullock; and his aunt Delores Hart. He is survived by: his mother Frances Marie Autrey; his brother Jerry Applegate; his nephews, Drew Applegate, Brandon Applegate, Johnny Clifton and Gary Clifton; his niece Juliea Washington of Kaylin Huffstutler; his half-siblings, Mark Applegate of Mike Applegate and Barbie Applegate; and his aunts, Marlene Bullock and Ann Cannon.
