It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clara McCoy (Sylacauga, Alabama), born in Amherst, Virginia, who passed away on July 9, 2018, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Walter Thomas Mason; her husband Robert Clarence McCoy Sr.; her son William K. McCoy; and her sister Deacon Geraldine Mason Coleman. She is survived by: her parent Mary Janie Mason Davis; her children, Robert C. McCoy Jr. (Diane) of Lynchburg, Charles L. McCoy (Joyce) of Jacksonville, Sherman P. McCoy Sr. (Patricia) of Bowie, Sherline M. Brickus of Laurel and Karen M. Hughes; and her sister-in-law Alberta McCoy Jackson. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 11 greatgreat-grandchildren.
