He is survived by: his children, Carl Gardner, Jr. and Jessica Wetlesen; his parents, Betty Gunter and John Gardner; his grandmother Sarah Strickland; his siblings, Frank Gunter of Dewayne Gunter and Sarah Gunter; and his grandchildren, Arabella Wetlesen and Aaron Wetlesen.
