She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Blades Jr.; her daughter Donna Blades; her parents, Dudley Oliver and Sara Emma Culver; her stepmother Mable Culver; and her siblings, Grafford Johnson, D. O. Culver Jr., Denson Culver, Cecil Culver and Bain Culver.
She is survived by: her son Richard Blades III; her daughter-in-law Polly Blades; her grandchildren, Josh Blades (Emily) and Elisha Bailey (Matt); her great grandchildren, Oliver Blades, Caroline Blades, David Blades, Ellen Bailey and Libby Bailey; her sister Christine Harris; her sisters-in-law, Joyce Culver, Ruby Culver and Shirley Culver; her friend Pat Gaither; and her close friend Betty. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Radney-Smith Funeral Home (320 N Elm Ave, Sylacauga, AL 35150). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (100 S Norton Ave, Sylacauga, AL 35150).
