He was predeceased by: his parents, A. C. Showers and Rejetta Showers; his brothers, Donald Showers, Ernest Showers, Bennie Lee Showers and Waverly Showers; and his grandson Jason Showers.
He is survived by: his children, André, Angelo Showers of Sylacauga, Alabama and April Durel (Shannon) of Grayson, Georgia; his sisters, Annie Bell Northern of Los Angeles and Eleanor Cummings of Birmingham, Alabama; his grandchildren, Danielle Taylor (Michael) of Stockbridge, Justin Showers of Helena, Brianna Childers of Grayson, Georgia and Liliana Durel of Grayson, Georgia; his great grandchildren, Makayla Showers of Stockbridge, Georgia and Mason Taylor of Stockbridge, Georgia; his former wife Mary Lois Showers; and his close friend Helen Madden. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
