She was predeceased by: her mother Vada Mae Townsend (Greathouse); and her brothers, Rev. John W. Townsend, Charles C. Townsend and Emmitt Turner. She is survived by: her sisters, Doris Ann Harris, Fannie Mae Gamble, Mary Frances Walker, Glenda S. Norris, Jean Norris Johnson (Al) of Fort Mitchall, AL and Claudette Riggins; her sister-in-law Betty Townsend of Sylacauga, AL.; her brothers, Rev. George Townsend of Childersburg, AL and Obie Norris of Sylacauga, AL.; and her close friend Mary Turner Stamps (Poochie). She is also survived by nieces and nephews as well as great grands and other relatives and friends.
