She is survived by: her daughters, Kara M. Melton (Scott) and Dana M. Vansword; her grandchildren, Katherine Grace Vansword and Mason Lee Vansword (Lizzie); and her great grandchild Grey Vansword.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Episcopal Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in honor of Algalene McClendon be sent to the trust of Trinity Episcopal Church in Alpine for the UAB Cancer Research Fund.
