It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Abbie McDaniel Waldrop (Sylacauga, Alabama), who passed away on January 25, 2019, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John R. McDaniel and Edith I. McDaniel of New Site, AL; her husband Blake Thomas Waldrop of Sylacauga; and her siblings, John Kendal McDaniel of Birmingham, Omie Bryant of Beaumont, TX and Genell Benton of Groves, TX..
She is survived by: her children, Judy (John Dill) of McCalla, AL, Blake Terrell Waldrop (Debra) of Hoover, AL and Richard E. Waldrop (Dorinda) of Sylacauga; her grandchildren, Lieutenant Colonel Steven Waldrop (Amanda, Major), Todd Waldrop (Laurel) of Birmingham, Drew Waldrop (Ashley) of Auburn, AL and Clay Waldrop (Alison) of Chelsea, AL.; and her great grandchildren, Blake, Ethan, Benjamin and Banks Waldrop. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
