She was predeceased by: her parents, Gaston Devan Lewis and Alma Hurt Lewis; her husband Arthur Gene Barnhill; and her son Derrell Gene Barnhill. She is survived by: her son James Lester Barnhill. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Union Grove Baptist Church (18957 AL-69, Coffeeville, AL 36524). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
