He was predeceased by: his parent Author Gene. He is survived by: his mother Opal Laverl Barnhill; his children, Veronica Elaine Friday, Quincy James Barnhill and Jonathan Derrell Barnhill; and his brother James Lester Barnhill. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
