He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Benjamin Fields and Thelma Fields; and his children, Ernie L. Fields (Annete) of McIntosh, Ovetta Oakley of Mobile, Tena Dillard of Sunflower and Joe Samuel Fields Jr. (Barbara) of Mobile. He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, five siblings and one sister-in-law, with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
