He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Smith, Sr. and Edna Mae Smith; and his brothers, Frederick Smith and Douglas Smith. He is survived by: his wife Karen Smith; his sons, Donald R. Smith, Jr. (JR) and Joshua Smith; his grandsons, Brayden McGinely and Logan Jax Smith; and his siblings, Robert L. Smith, Jr. (Burt) and Bonnie Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
