With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shelby Jean Gilbert of Sumiton, Alabama, who passed away on July 1, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Sonny Gilbert; her parents, Marlin Akins and Beatrice Akins; and her brother Bobby Akins. She is survived by: her son Ricky Gilbert (Cindy); her grandchildren, Nick Gilbert (Nikki) and Kelli Knowles (Corey); and her great grandchildren, Hannah Myers, Preslie Gilbert, Knox Knowles and Zoe Knowles. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
