He was predeceased by: his siblings, Grady Pennington (Sara) of Lester Pennington, J. T, Cecil Pennington, Oma King (Howard), Edith Hyde (Hope), Dean Dean (Frank) and Carol Lawton (John).

He is survived by: his wife Mary Evelyn Pennington; his daughters, Sharon McClure (Craig) and Glenda Pennington; his siblings, Nelta Jean Frier and Morris Pennington; and his grandchildren, Brandon McClure and Lauren McClure.
