With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy Joe Guthrie (Sumiton, Alabama), born in Townley, Alabama, who passed away on November 9, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Olen Guthrie and Gracie Romine McGough; his sister Bernice Alexander; and his daughter Laura Martin. He is survived by: his wife Janice Medders Guthrie; his daughters, Angela Larkin (Robert) of Vinemont and Tanya Drummond (Keith) of Bagley; his sister Barbara Jones of Townley; his grandchildren, Heather, Stephanie, Avery, Ashlynn, Anna and Alison; and also, Mariah, Raegan, Luna and Max. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in his memory to Grace Baptist Church 101 Earley Street, Sumiton, AL 35148.
