He was predeceased by: his parents, Vance Ohlen Nethery and Ruby Mae Nethery; and his children, James Nethery, Jonathan Nethery and Brenda Dodd.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Nethery of Sulligent, AL; his children, Larry, Daniel Joseph Nethery (Tracey) of Sulligent, AL, Connie Jean Howard of Sulligent, AL and Kathleen Turner (Anthony) of Sulligent, AL.; and his grandsons, Johnny Pace, Justin Dodd and Nathaniel Dodd. He is also survived by Great Grandchildren: (47), Several GG Grandchildren.
