She was predeceased by: her spouse George Gray Gilmer; and her sisters, Julia Maddox and Helen Chandler. She is survived by: her grandmother Donald Gray; her grandchildren, David Gilmer (Lin) of Sulligent, AL, Josephine Byrd (Randy) of Vernon, AL and Marianne Land Taylor (Phillip) of Duluth, GA; her great grandchildren, Lydia Ann Gilmer Hatcher (Gavin), William David Gilmer (Joni), Charles Bradley Northam (Tracey), Amy Lyn Northam Plourde (Patrick), Leanna Gilmer Land Jimerson (Jason), Thomas Gray Land (Lesley), Mark Douglas Land (Stacy), Douglas Alexander Gilmer (Jenie) and Donald Gray Gilmer, Jr.; and her friend Hunter C. Kennedy. She is also survived by two great-great-grandchildren; one brother.
