He was predeceased by: his parents, Kelsie Barnes and Cora Lee Hollis Barnes; his daughter Debra Ann Barnes; and his brothers, J. B., Richard, Sam, Jessie, Brooks and Kenneth Barnes.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Barnes; his sons, Sidney Barnes (Mary) of Sulligent, AL and Donald Barnes of Sulligent, AL; his grandchildren, Coraleigh, Bennett (Beckett Barnes), Chasidy (Hunter Upton) and Natalie (Makenna Lucas); and his brother Dempsey Barnes (Grace) of Sulligent, AL.. He is also survived by 7 Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Beaverton Free Will Baptist Church or the Piney Grove Cemetery Fund.
