He is survived by: his sons, Donald Merchant Jr. (Cheryl Templeton), James Merchant (Lagenia) and Thomas Merchant (Melissa); his siblings, James Ronald Merchant (Nancy) of Vernon, AL, Lola Frances Pennington (Dale) of Priestville, Wanda Norris and Peggy Dillard (Doc); and his grandchildren, Jessica Faye Merchant, Billy Ray Merchant, Erin Brooke Merchant, Rebecca Merchant (Brandon) and Courtney McBunch (David).
