He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry L. Phillips and Jessie McDuffie Phillips; and his siblings, Henry Orville Phillips and Regina Lewis. He is survived by: his wife Ginger Boyington Phillips of Stockton, AL; his children, Heather Thomas of Mobile, AL, Holly Stewart (Terry) of Mobile, AL, Casey Orem of Dyas and Daphne Mosley (Donnie) of Stapleton, AL; his sister Patricia "Patsy" Whorton of Tampa, FL; his grandchildren, Haley Thomas, Emily Thomas, Jade Stewart, Lane Stewart (Katee W.), Morgan Orem Ziebach, Megan Orem Deason and Cayden Mosley; and his great grandchildren, Jenson Kelley, Kayce Thomas, Adrian Deason, Elliot Istre and Atticus Istre.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America 505 Eighth Avenue, Suite 902 New York, NY 10018.
