With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Princess Matthews of Stevenson, Alabama, who passed away on August 27, 2022 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Matthews and Georgia Mae Matthews of Washington; her children, Samuel Lebron Matthews and Gwendolyn Renee Simpson; and her granddaughter Mercedes Celeste Hutchins.

She is survived by: her son Arthur Will Matthews, Jr. (Kathy); her niece Bonnie Kelly; and her friend Doris Hutchins. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
