He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Mason Barbee; his daughter Debbie Smith (Raun); his grandson Ricky Smith (Betsy); and his siblings, Betty Maynor (John), Jay Barbee (Loretta), Mac Barbee and Vernon Barbee (Bobbye). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
