It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louise Grider of Stevenson, Alabama, who passed away on February 12, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James "Wormie" Grider; her parents, William Abney and Janie Abney; her son William Grider; and her siblings, Harvey, John, Billy, Delmous Abney, Syl Shrader, Betty Jane Denny, Bessie Tease and Edna Fisher.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Watson and Jimmy Grider (Susie); her daughter-in-law Kay Grider; her grandchildren, Celena Gilliam (Randy), Jeff Watson (Amy), Kim Watson Killen (Jeff), Brent Grider (Dez), Lisa Higgins (Danny), Todd, Kielah, Jamie, Heather and Chad Grider; and her sisters, Orene Drigger and Bethel Mitchell. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and great – great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Valley Funeral Home - Stevenson (1214 Kentucky Ave, Stevenson, AL 35772). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
