He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Luther Turner and Frances Wilbanks Turner; and his siblings, Alvis, Carl, Stan, Kenneth Turner and Johnnie Turner Gothard.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ina Faye McCrary and Harold Turner; and his close friend Jim Samples. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
