He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Bolton Pittman and Mattie Cargile Pittman; and his sisters, Ella Ann Morris, Norma Jean Hess, Mary Elizabeth "Bussy" Cameron and Kitty Lou Cloud.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Lyda Pittman; his children, John Pittman (Kim) of Hartselle, AL, Myra Gamble (Russell) of Stevenson, AL and Emily Layne (Dale); his grandchildren, Britney Smith (Cody), Tiffany Pittman, Jacob, Caleb Pittman, Kathryn Wileman (Brian), Ethan Gamble, Amber Hendon (Johnny), Sara Beth and Oliver Layne; and his great grandchildren, Brayston, Sam, Hank Hendon, Anna Kathryn Wileman, Mason and Mattie Smith. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
