He was predeceased by: his parents, D. E. Wilkerson and Leona Wilkerson; his wife Anna Marie Wilkerson; and his siblings, Carol Allen and Walter Edward "Eddie" Wilkerson.

He is survived by: his son Jerry Allen Wilkerson, Jr.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
