He is survived by: his father George Mason Powell, Jr.; his siblings, Harold Powell, Carol Ann Shoemake (Tommy) and Cheryl Powell; his niece Jenna Moore (Randall); his nephew Adam Shoemake (Julie); his great-nieces, Harmony Olson, Harley Arnold and Savannah Shoemake; and his great-nephew Christopher Shoemake.
