We are sad to announce that on January 8, 2025, Christy Gier of Stevenson, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Katharyn Nicole York; and her grandparents, Dewey, Anna Ruth Pace, John and Jeanie Mae Matthews.
She is survived by: her children, Jonathan York, James Gier and Riley Gier; her parents, Howard Gene Matthews (LuLu) and Janett Matthews; her brother Mitchell (Frances Matthews); her nephew Colton Edwards; her niece Amber Edwards; her uncles, Rickey Pace and Dale Matthews; and her grandmother Betty Sue Martin.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Valley Funeral Home - Stevenson (1214 Kentucky Ave, Stevenson, AL 35772). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
