He is survived by: his brothers, Paul Hutchins, Ronnie Matthews and Carl Matthews; his sons, Alvin Matthews Ill, Tom Matthews (Regina) and Markus Matthews (Christee); his grandchildren, Alysa Grace Matthews and Jayson Matthews; and his siblings, James Matthews (Minnie), Denise Howard (Edward) and Dorothy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
