It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Lorene Deweese of Steele, Alabama, who passed away on February 24, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lecil Alexander and Mae Alexander; her husband L. V. Deweese; and her siblings, Marlene Burton, Kaye Netherton, Harlon Alexander, Revis Alexander and Norman Alexander.
She is survived by: her children, Calvin Deweese (Martha) of Ashville, Bernice Hollingsworth (Tim) of Steele and Nathan Deweese (Lynn Burton) of Southside; and her sisters, Jennifer Alexander, Betty Sue Smith and Ruth Owens.
