He is survived by: his grandson Justin Dale Hyatt; his children, Danny Hyatt, Becky Hyatt, Steele, Dale, Paula Hyatt, Hokes Bluff, Melanie Stone, Randy Stone, Ashville, Mark and Daphne Hyatt; his grandchildren, Misti Hyatt, Gadsden, Crystal, Ben Gersh, Ashville, Jordan, Anna Teal, Hokes Bluff, Caleb Hyatt, Chandler Hyatt and Trussville; his great grandchildren, John Henry McWaters, Riley Alexander Gersh, Sarah Grace and Ann Charlotte Teal; his daughter Gail Sanders Hyatt; and his sister Ruby Nuss.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Steele United Methodist Church.
