It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Slimp of Stapleton, Alabama, who passed away on January 11, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Slimp and June Slimp; and his sister Debra Crain. He is survived by: his sister Samantha Shaw (Greg) of Daviston; his nephews, Chesley Crain (Lauren) of Riverside, Gregory Shaw (Julie) of Kentucky and CJ Shaw (Nicole) of Cullman; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Libby Crain, Isla Claire Shaw, Lucas Crain, John Thomas "Jack" Shaw and Everett William Shaw.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ridout's Valley Chapel (1800 Oxmoor Rd, Homewood, AL 35209). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at the Forest Hill Cemetery (431 60th St N, Birmingham, AL 35212).
