We are sad to announce that on December 7, 2024, at the age of 80, Johnny Frank Smith Sr. of Stanton, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse T. Smith and Julia Chism Smith; his wife Jewel Leevon Gandy Smith; his grandson Michael Melton; his granddaughter-in-law Tonya Smith; and his sister Willodean Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Justice (Stan), Delene Smith, Randall Smith (Vicki), Johnny "Frank" Smith, Jr. (Jean), David Smith (Connie) and Loretta Smith Averette; and his sisters, Joanne Milam, Dorothy Bone and Glenda Short (John Earl). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home (2900 Citizens Pkwy, Selma, AL 36701). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Maplesville Methodist Cemetery.
