It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wanda Sylestine of Springville, Alabama, who passed away on March 16, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her grandmother Ahpo; her great-grandparent Ahpo Chuba; her parents, Baker Williams and Rhoda Mae Sylestine; her husband Lloyd Sylestine; her sons, Curtis and Don Sylestine; her children-in-law, Patsy Austin Sylestine and Roger Dale Rich; her brothers, Johnson, Horace Williams, Herman Battise, Charles Sylestine, Kent Sylestine Jr., Bobby Landry, Joseph and Michael Mier; her grandson Matthew Wilson; and her great grandchild Alyssa Nicole Rich.

She is survived by: her aunt Koosi; her children, Reta Rich of Springville, AL, Rhonda Burridge (Scott) of Chelsea, AL, Jason Sylestine (Michelle) of Chelsea, AL and Howard Sylestine (Elana) of Wilsonville, AL; and her siblings, Ana Lou Obe of Livingston, TX and Rod Prejean. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
