He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Pope and Angela Nicita Pope; and his brother Robert Pope. He is survived by: his wife Robin Pope of Springville; his children, Lindsey Tatum (Grant) of Odenville, Garrett Dodd of Chattanooga, Joseph Pope, Jr. of Florence and Gavin Webber of Springville; and his siblings, Jody Pope of Byram, MS, Lori Luther (Ricky) of Richland, MS, Karen Brown (Bryan) of Byram, MS, Tracy Pope of Florence, MS, Leigh Cone (Brett) of Madison, MS and Tony Pope of Florence, MS. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
He currently was employed at the University of Alabama Health Services Foundation.
