He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Barron (Billy), Emily Files (Josh), Jason Smith (Kim), David Smith (Tanna) and Steven Smith (Jessica); his siblings, Janet Mann (Bill) and Lynn Smith (Robin); and his aunt Viree Sweatt (Frank). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandson.
