With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Harvey M Gilliam Jr. of Springville, Alabama, born in Birmingham, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 3, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Tipton Gilliam. He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Waters (Larry) and Christi Gilliam; his stepsons, Steven Tipton (Tracey) and Barry Tipton; his grandchildren, Corey Waters and Kayla Kailey (Ryan); his great grandchild Caroline; his granddaughter Chelsea Tipton; his great grandchildren, Olivia Denton and Carter Denton; and his grandchild Ryan Tipton.
A graveside service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made to St Jude, in memory of Mike Gilliam.
