He is survived by: his wife Olivia Jett Bowers; his daughters, Amy Bowers King (Derek King) and Nancy Bowers Smith; his grandchildren, Hannah King Wilks (Sam Wilks) and Caleb Andrew King; and his pet Nicky. He is also survived by his family but his pets.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions in Gary's name to Wounded Warriors, or the Greater Birmingham Human Society.
