Floyd Leonard Hatfield Obituary
Our amazing Husband, Father, Grandpa, and PaPa joined his eternal sweetheart, in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 26, 2018 at his home in Spanish Fork. He was 86 years old. He was born to Arthur and Verdella Hatfield in Springville, Utah. He was the fourth of ten children. He lived in Springville, Spanish Fork, and Mackay, Idaho.
He had a great love for Mackay, the people, and the outdoors there. He served in the Korean War, where he received the Purple Heart. He was a mink and fox rancher. He loved trapping and loved being in the mountains. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many church callings over the years, but his recent calling was his favorite, a greeter.
He loved greeting everyone as they walked in. He is survived by his children, Russell (Stacy) Hatfield, Melanie (Mike) Dusseau, Amy (Scott) Rees, Johnny (Deedee) Oberhansly, Nan (Kris) Painter, Carrie (Aric) Lewis, and Kelly Marshall; a very dear niece, Angela (Mike). He had 28 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his sweetheart, Maureen Jensen; baby girl, Angela; his parents; and two brothers. We will all miss him so much, but we are so grateful to have had him as part of our lives, and to have had his great love that he shared unconditionally. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at the Sunny Ridge 1st Ward Chapel, 1470 East 130 North, Spanish Fork, Utah.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday morning at the church from 10:00-11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
