He is survived by: his wife Judy Adkison; his sons, Josh Adkison of Spring Garden and Jeff Rader (Jenny) of Piedmont; his grandchildren, T. J. Rader, Ashton Rader, Alyse Rader, Jay Rader, Mason Adkison, Hayley Adkison, Candice Breno and Dennis Murphy; and his brother Donald Adkison (Linda) of Piedmont. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
