He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Sims and Esma Howell Sims. He is survived by: his wife Bernice H. Sims; his stepchildren, Felicia Hudson and Alfred Johnson, III; his stepgrandson Carlos Hurd; and his brothers-in-law, Clarence Hudson (Julia) of Mobile, AL and Alfred Hudson of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Small's Mortuary - Mobile (950 S Broad St, Mobile, AL 36603). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery (34904 AL-225, Spanish Fort, AL 36577).
