The passing of Roy J. Yates of Spanish Fort, Alabama, born in Utica, Mississippi leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 23, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Jerome Yates "Jerry" and Billy Lou Yates. He is survived by: his wife Laurie; his children, Ashley Peters (Jim), Austin Yates and Kaitlyn Yates; his grandchildren, Mac, Marianna and Maddie; and his sisters, Beth Yates and Bonnie Hales (Bryan). He is also survived by his nephews and nieces.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Fairhope Chapel (19698 Greeno Rd, Fairhope, AL 36532). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Hope Center at 3 Circle Church in Fairhope, AL or Compassion International.
