He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Vasko and Eunice Dana Vasko; his wife Patricia L. Vasko; and his brother Robert Vasko. He is survived by: his daughters, Joanie Vasko Verinder (Mike) of Allen, TX and Donna Vasko Roberts (late Redmond) of Canton; his siblings, Barbara Kostelecky of Silver Hill, AL, Carolyn Kostelecky of Silver Hill, AL, Lillian Dittman of Fairhope, AL, Jo Ann Bridges of Birmingham, AL, Mildred Easterling of Euless, TX, Jack Vasko of Lucedale and Jimmy Vasko of Elberta, AL; his grandchildren, Cammie Jo Williamson (Austin), Brooks Michael Roberts (Kayla) and Caleb Riley Verinder; and his great grandchild Harper Kay Roberts.
A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Hebron Baptist Church (311 Main St, New Hebron, MS 39140). Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery (34904 AL-225, Spanish Fort, AL 36577). The military honors was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the New Hebron Baptist Church building fund.
