It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Michael Elder (Spanish Fort, Alabama), born in Talladega, Alabama, who passed away on December 28, 2018, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sister Jean Smith; his spouse Jacquelyn Steadman Elder (Jackie); his sons, Jeff Elder (Kelley, Scott Elder) and Matt Elder; his stepdaughters, Scotia Robinson (Dennis, Kymberly Baker) and Sharyn Kapp (Tim); his brother Jimmy Elder; his siblings-in-law, Rod Steadman, Everett Steadman (Rebecca) and Gaye Montiel; and his grandchildren, Sydney, Jake, Addison, Noah, Ethan Elder, Zac Steadman, Brittany Wood (Cameron, Taylor Baker), Tyler Walker, Sebastian and Trenton Kapp. He was also cherished by many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
