He was predeceased by: his son Henry James "Jim" Lawson, Jr.; his parents, Henry Jefferson Lawson and Bernice Cahoon Stewart; and his sisters, Darla Miles and Burneda Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Lawson of Spanish Fort, AL; his daughter Wendy Spence (Jay) of Spanish; his sisters, Jefferene Foster and Joy Rich; his granddaughter Emily Lawson Daly; his sister Kayla Carn; and his great grandchildren, Karlie and Jamesson Carn. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Daphne, AL.
